My laptop overheats. But when temperatures get critical, it just instantly shuts down to prevent damage.

This is why I stick with Windows and Samsung.
I run lithium polymer batteries in my RC truck. They are even more unstable. Lithium batteries are just very unstable and dangerous when not properly balanced and managed.
my iPhone charger overheats. ill take it out the outlet and it would feel like leather seats on a hot day.

Its real IPHONE sucks
My laptop gets hot on the bottom, in a normal way; and my ipod gets warm near the back camera, but cools down a few minutes of no use. It does that after constant use.
My dad’s laptop gets super-ultra-mega hot, but it does work as a heating pad for them monthly cramps that I get, so I ain’t complaining.

My roommate had her Mac battery actually melt into her computer so when my Mac continuously got so hot that it would burn you if you touched it I took it into the genius bar. Well, those genius’s told me that even though it is a “laptop” I am not supposed to have it placed on any other surface but a desk. They said it was MY fault that I was burning myself on it because I would occasionally…ya know…put my laptop on my LAP. I ended up just having to buy external fans. Absolutely ridiculous.

Li-Ion batts are indeed a dangerous bunch. I haul hazardous chemicals for a living. Spent battery pick ups is a small part of my job, Li-Ion batteries have very strict packaging requirements even when spent and being disposed of. Trucks hauling them have burnt to the ground.
